Agnes Monica was born in Jakarta, July 1 1986 to Ricky Suprapto and Jenny Siswono. Agnes has one older brother named Steve Muljoto. Since Agnes became an artist with such a busy schedule, her older sister has always accompanied her by becoming her manager.

Agnes attended elementary school at SD Tarakanita Jakarta. Agnes She attended various courses since she was in elementary school, such as singing, piano and English courses. After completing her elementary school education, Agnes continued her studies at Pelita Harapan Jakarta Middle School. Agnes is a student who has outstanding achievements in the academic field. This often makes him receive many scholarships. Graduating from Pelita Harapan Middle School, Agnes completed her education at a school that is still the same foundation as her junior high school, namely Pelita Harapan High School. Agnes is someone who cares about education. Evidently, after graduating from Pelita Harapan High School, amidst her increasingly busy schedule, Agnes still wanted to experience college by taking law education at Pelita Harapan University (UPH).
Agnes decided to withdraw from her studies at UPH with a final GPA of 3.67. Even though she has stepped back, it doesn’t mean that Agnes doesn’t want to have anything to do with education anymore. Not long after, Agnes took the Distance Education program at Oregon States University (USO) majoring in Political Science.

At the beginning of her career, Agnes was known as a child artist. As a child singer, he has three albums, namely “Si Meong” (1992), “Yess!” (1995) and “Bala Bala” (1996). The second album “Yess!” won the award for “Best Children’s Album” in 1999.
Agnes also took advantage of her fame as a child singer by concurrently serving as a children’s program presenter. Call it “Tralala-Trilili”, “VAN (Video Anak Anteve)” and “Diva Romeo”. All three events are children’s events hosted by Agnes. Thanks to that, Agnes was awarded as Favorite Children’s Program Host at the “Panasonic Awards” for two consecutive years (1999-2000).

On November 21, 2010, Agnes was honored as one of the presenters of the “2010 American Music Awards” which was held at the Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, United States of America. Entering 2011, Agnes is increasingly focused on her international career. He was contracted by a quality producer from America, Greg Ogan. Not only that, Agnes was also asked to be a friend of the American singer duet, Timbaland. The singer of the song “Paralyze” became one of the nominees at the prestigious MTV Europe Awards 2011 in the category World Wide Act Asia Pacific Nominees. September 2011, Agnes was invited by Michael Bolton as her duet partner for the song “Said I Loved You… But I Lied”. The song was recorded on Bolton’s album “Gems: The Duets Album” and was released across Asia. He also released a video clip for his song “Rindu” in the same month.

She was also nominated for the Favorite Asian Act category at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. At that time, Agnes had to lose to her rival, Charice, a singer from the Philippines. But the defeat did not last long. November 30, Agnes was lined up as Best Asian Artist at the biggest music award event in Asia, namely the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
